CFDIA Members,

There is a Public Hearing of the Public Safety & Security Committee on Tuesday, 2/11, at 1000 hrs in Room 2B. There are two bills being raised that are a part of our legislative priorities. There will be representation from the Joint Council that will provide testimony at the hearing in support of both bills. Please share this information with your organizations in an effort to encourage them to come and support the CT Fire Service on getting these bills moved forward. This is the time for us to show the unity and strength of the CT fire Service.

     Below are the two raised bills and attached is the Public Hearing Agenda with links to the bills.

S.B. No. 1239 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING A FALLEN OFFICER AND FIREFIGHTER FUND AND PROVIDING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE TO SURVIVORS OF A FIREFIGHTER KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY. 

S.B. No. 1240 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE CODES AND STANDARDS COMMITTEE
