On Wednesday, Ovtober 7 at 6:30PM the CFDIA held their Annual Meeting at the New Haven Fire Academy. Due to COVID-19 requirements the physcial attendance was limited, however, there was a good number in attedance via ZOOM. The Annual Meeting included the nomination and voting of Steve Hoffmann to the Secretary position and John Brady to the Member At Large postion for a two year period on the Executive Board. Awards were also presented to the following:

• Robert Andrew – Richard Pratt Silva Award presented by President Buonome
• Mark Petrone – Harry Kelly Award presented by Chief Jeruszewski, North Haven FD
• Richard McDonagh – President’s Award
• Freddie Weeks – President’s Award
• Karl Neubechar – IAFC-VCOS Instructor of the Year – President’s Award

An educational presentation was conducted by Chief William Perez of the UConn Fire Department on Success in the Classroom for Our Fellow & Future Firefighters. This was a great presentation and provided some tools for our fire instructors when teaching courses thorughout the state.
