The June meeting of the CFDIA is an evening meeting on Wednesday June 6, 2012 and will be held at Wallingford Fire Headquarters, 75 Masonic Ave. Wallingford CT. 06492. The program will be an overview of the Courage to be Safe training course presented by Chief John Oates. This course is a provocative and moving presentation by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, through the Everyone Goes Home® Program, that is designed to change the culture of accepting the loss of firefighters as a normal occurrence. Because the month of June contains the International Fire/EMS Safety and Health Week we hope that this overview of the Courage to be Safe program will give chiefs and training officers ideas and tools to assist in implementing activities within their respective departments that will support the efforts to increase firefighter safety and the goal the everyone goes home.

CFDIA CT FIRE SERVICE QUESTIONNAIRE

 A questionnaire has been developed to gauge how the fire service in our state is positioned to be able to meet the criteria to obtain federal funding. 

 It involves Ct. fire department's commitment to firefighter and fire officer certifications.

 The questions on the form will attempt to obtain a snapshot of the current status of certification levels in local fire departments.

                                       Please take the time to answer the questions.

This questionnaire will be mailed to CT Fire Departments by

the Connecticut Fire Department Instructor’s Association.
